Cone 10 soda fired helmer porcelain bud vase.
Hand-thrown with hand-carved illustrations, glazed with food-safe glazes, soda fired to cone 10 (approximately 2300 degrees F).
The soda firing gives each of my pots a unique surface, no two are exactly alike. The outsides of my pots are primarily bare clay to allow the soda ash to shine - some areas are given a gentle sheen, while some receive more of a lemon-peel texture. This mug received a lovely soft sheen of soda.
